Leccino: (Italy) Somewhat milder than Frantoio, this olive is rich, buttery and distinctively olive tasting, but delicate. A good early producer.

  • Produce 16-21% Olive Oil

  • Prefers full sun

  • Grown worldwide

  • Leccino is not self-fertile

Leccino olive trees do best when pollinated with Pendolino or Maurino olives, but do well with Frantoio and Maraiolo varietals also.

Fruit production usually starts between 2-4 years. At maturity they can grow between 20-30 feet in height with an 18-20 foot width. The fruit is purple black through growth with an optimal harvesting color of purple green. Leccino olive trees are also known for their stand alone beauty featuring evergreen foliage, semi-weeping form, small branches with curved tips and large fruit!
